Specializing in Slate & Copper
We are a small, family run business located in the Lake Sunapee region. Founded as Gerard A Leone Slate and Copper Roofing over 30 years ago, Kevin Butler started working for his father-in-law in 2009. He took over the business fully in 2017, moving it from Sunapee to New London and renaming it LB Roofing. His wife Cara, has been involved in the family business as long as she can remember and now works as the Office Manager.
We stock a wide variety of slate in various sizes and can match most existing roofs
Just like your car or your furnace, a slate roof will benefit from regular inspections and repairs for minor damage (missing or broken slate) instead of waiting for a larger issue to come up
In the case that regular maintenance has been deferred, in most cases a slate roof can be brought back to peak condition. Often, the work can be done in phases to fit your schedule and budget.
Whether you are adding an addition onto an existing slate roof, or you simply enjoy the aesthetic of a durable, natural material on your new building, we can work with you to ensure proper installation from the beginning.
We exclusively use Revere Copper, known for its quality and consistency
From snow belts and porches to full roofs, Kevin learned his installation technique by hand hammering every seam on the first full copper roof he installed. While the tools have gotten more sophisticated, the quality remains the same.
We specialize in custom flashing, valleys, ridge cap and drip edge with 20oz and 16oz copper available in stock depending on the application and preference. Other types can be customer ordered with enough advance notice. Installation is available on request, or quick job site delivery of custom orders.
From custom large scale chimney caps to decorative marquees and curved copper roofs, contact us to schedule a consultation for your next project.
Flat panels as needed by roof pitch, or vertical siding.
We have experience in a variety of other materials, typically in conjunction with slate or copper. Please contact us to learn more.
